CNC Programmer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team.
We provide complex assemblies and systems solutions to the fields of medical devices, flying optic and theatre projection, defence & aerospace, and renewable energy sectors around the world. As a key member reporting to the Plant Manager, the successfull candidate will play a crucial role in operating a CAD/CAM-based computer to generate programs for CNC machines, providing X, Y, Z coordinates of holes, surfaces, and other critical details.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC lathes, 3-axis CNC vertical mills, 4-axis CNC vertical and horizontal mills, and 5-axis CNC mills, with proficiency in Mastercam software.

Key Responsibilities:

Retrieve CAD data and convert files for offline programming software, making necessary adjustments to meet shop requirements.

Adapt existing product designs for new requirements, contributing to fixture development for machining new products.

Develop CNC programs in relevant languages for machine controllers, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency.

Support machine operators with CNC program inquiries and material inspections.

Create inspection sheets and define inspection points for active jobs.

Generate plots illustrating inspected details and complete inspection reports.

Maintain adherence to safety protocols outlined in Health and Safety programs.

Train setup personnel and machine operators as required.

Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and meet production deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of machining experience.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, fixtures and work holding design, and understanding of tooling, speed, and feed.
- Knowledge of different types of materials and experience in the setup and operation of both CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience in preparing setup sheets and documents.

5+ years of CAD/CAM experience

Proficient in large CNC machine cutting equipment and machining processes.

Experience in quality systems role preferred, capable of communicating results and processes effectively.

Proficient in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam and SolidWorks.

Familiarity with machine controllers like Heidenhain and Fanuc.

Strong mechanical problem-solving and organizational skills for managing multiple priorities.
