Shift Opportunities:

• Monday – Friday
• Days/Afternoons available
• $60,000 to $75,000 pending on experience

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Disciplinary and/or functional management of employees
• Coordinating and assigning employees as per the qualification matrix, coordinating tasks within the shift
• Coordinating shift changes
• Maintaining shift-related information in the shop floor management
• Recording and working through instances of wastage and potential improvements in production and the organizational structures
• Ensuring compliance with workplace instructions (e.g. break times, smoking ban, alcohol, reporting in sick, dealing with accidents in the workplace)
• Responsible for the instruction and training of employees (incl. initial instruction in occupational safety)
• Ensuring and complying with work-related regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 OAC or equivalent, post secondary education desirable i.e. technical degree or diploma.
• Supervisory experience in a union environment.
• Working knowledge of the quality control requirements of the jobs in operations; familiarity with operating methods, inspection procedures and gage checks.
• Strong knowledge of robotic lines, strong leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
• Computer knowledge and sound organizational skills.
