Maintenance Supervisor

Work Locally for a Global Aerospace Leader

Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are opening a Kelowna-based manufacturing office. As such, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team.

 

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Director, Production Operations, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our electronic products, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any issues that arise for our leading-edge satellite communications and flight data avionics products.

This position is located in-office in Kelowna.

Frequent travel to Victoria is required up to March 2024 for training purposes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling repairs in priority and meeting set KPI’s for turnaround
  • Ensuring Canadian Aviation Regulations are followed & maintained
  • Repair quoting and revenue oversight
  • Employee supervision, guidance, and mentoring
  • Ensuring employees have proper training and tools to support their tasks
  • Keeping up to date with latest practices and regulations
  • Reviewing repair trends and interfacing with Quality and Engineering departments on such trends
  • Customer support as required
  • Oversight and interface with other outside contracted AMO’s
  • Maintaining service contracts or special customer agreements for repairs
  • Install Provisions oversight, including Wire Harness manufacturing & finished install kits
  • Scheduling and shipment of finished install kits
  • Existing cable and install kit engineering change reviews and approvals
  • New wire harness product integration and engineering support
  • Wire harness and install kit inventory control and purchase approvals
  • Maintaining Wire Harness equipment through preventive maintenance and calibration schedules

 

Requirements

  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to achieve objectives within appropriate timescales
  • Strong aptitude for learning new information technologies

 

Assets

  • Electronic Technologist or Technician diploma or equivalent advanced education
  • 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance role (electronics environment preferred)
  • Experience with satellite communications
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Knowledge of Aviation quality standards, such as AS9100;
  • Management or supervision experience would be a strong asset;
  • Experience with IPC-610, J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-620 or similar standards
  • IPC Specialist or Trainer Certification an asset
