About the Role:

We are presently seeking a Recruiter for Skilled Trades to work in our Mississauga (Derry and Dixie) office. This is an 8am to 5pm role that requires applicants to screen and interview prospective candidates for Skilled Trades positions including, but not limited to, 310T's, 310S's, 310B's, Millwrights, Electricians, Programmers, Truck Drivers, Chefs, etc.  We are looking for candidates previous experience as a recruiter for permanent / temporary skilled trades. You must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills as you will be creating long-term relationships with your clients and candidates. 

THIS IS A ROLE IS FOR RECRUITING ONLY! ABSOLUTELY NO SELLING INVOLVED. 

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Speak with clients, over the phone or face-to-face, and grasp the role they are looking to advertise
  • Prepare a job description using the information the client gave you
  • Recruiting and acquiring top-tier candidates for a variety of permanent skilled positions within industrial environments 
  • Accountable for entire recruiting life cycle  - from candidate presentation to offer acceptance 
  • Maintain a long-standing relationship with both clients and candidates across multiple groups and levels 
  • Develop strategies to target and recruit candidate pool using a variety of tools and techniques 
  • Leverage online recruiting to identify and recruit the very best candidates 

 

What our ideal candidate should have:

  • 1 year of recruitment experience for permanent / temporary skilled trades 
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • A personable and professional demeanour
  • Expert computer skills – MS Office, Internet, Databases, Outlook
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple workloads
  • Strong work ethic and professional image combined with high standards of excellence, high tolerance for working in a fast-paced environment 
  • Tenacity, initiative, and drive balanced with flexibility and adaptability 
  • Must be ambitious, attentive to detail, and energetic
