Construction Project Manager
Company Overview:
We are a full service general contracting and building restoration company, specializing in curtainwall, masonry, balcony and parking structures for commercial institutional and residential properties.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of the project schedule.
- Review and understand the project plans and specifications.
- Expedite all shop drawings and approvals.
- Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.
- Monitor site safety and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced.
- Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control.
- Control and monitor labour, material and equipment expenses.
- Work within the budget by adequately estimating the cost and cutting unnecessary expenses
- Ensure all required municipal inspections are performed.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary degree or certificate /diploma in construction, building, civil or similar.
- 3+ years experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Must have understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Valid driver's license, travel between sites.
- Trained in WHIMIS, First Aid/CPR
