Qualifications:

  • College diploma in Mechanical Technologist or equivalent experience.  
  • 3+ years’ experience working within a manufacturing or industrial application environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, machining, and repairs.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the APC Divisional Supervisor to develop, design and review product CAD design layouts.
  • Assist in researching and coordinating the bill of materials (BOM) for APC applications.
  • Act as the liaison between the APC division and manufacturing group on all product designs:
  • Develop and design all product CAD drawings for full back rollers.
  • Review and make edits as necessary based on customer specifications.
  • Provide final drawing to APC Supervisor for sign off, before being released to production.
  • Follow-up or provide assistance to APC Supervisor on questions from the production floor.  
  • Liaison with Manufacturing Manager and APC Supervisor on completing time studies and analysis for products and applications being reviewed for the APC division.  
  • Support and liaison with the APC Supervisor on the development of APC product by looking at the parameters and constraints on machinery (i.e., Dilo, resign treatment, cutting) and providing research results and recommendations.  
  • Research and source parts for the designs and create requisitions for approval
