Compensation: Compensation for the right individual is in the $90,000 plus range with bonus opportunity available.


    Our Ideal Person:
    To be completely successful in this position you ideally have at least 2 years in a leadership role and a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. 
    This is a very fast-paced environment, so you are eager and outgoing while focused on quality and efficiency. In this role you are leading a team of 20+ people, so you are inspiring, a great communicator, goal oriented and understand company and team objectives.  As a manager, you mentor your team members to support their goals while strategically defining and supporting organizational goals. 

    Position Overview:
    In this full-time position you will be responsible for leading the Engineering and Maintenance Teams, while being a member of the local leadership team.

    Essential Functions

    Engineering Activity and Production Support:

    • Create a safe work environment for all employees.
    • Support all product manufacturing through resolution of issues pertaining to drawings, processes, quality and materials.
    • Submit Capital Budget (CAPX) recommendations annually.  Write and/or approve all Expenditure Authorization Requests (EARs) and manage through implementation and payback (ROI).
    • Work on plant energy efficiency improvements.
    • Maintain building and grounds.
    • Ensure adherence to all environmental regulations.
    • Manage Repair & Maintenance expenses.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Develop and implement a Continuous Improvement (CI) plan to assist with meeting the plant’s annual cost savings goal.
    • Support lean manufacturing activities.

    Leadership:

    • Provide leadership and coaching to Manufacturing Engineers, and indirectly lead the Maintenance Department.
    • Manage the financial performance of the department.
    • Prioritize project work within the engineering group to best support plant objectives and obtain effective utilization of these resources.
    • Ensure proper training for all personnel within the department.
    • Make sure all personnel receive fair, ethical, and consistent treatment.

     

     QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

    EXPERIENCE

    • 2 years leadership experience preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Analytical problem solving and decision-making ability
    • Understanding of financial income statements
    • Strong organizational skills
