Inventory Control Manager and Forklift Operator

 

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an experienced, Inventory Control Manager and Forklift Operator to manage our warehouse and yard area.

 COMPETENCIES

  • Must have a minimum of  3 years counterbalance forklift experience
  • Must have a counterbalance Forklift Operator’s license
  • Must have a minimum 2 years of shipping and receiving experience
  • Must have a minimum 2 years of inventory management
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must have high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have experience working with software’s

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of 3 yard/forklift associates
  • Keep track and manage inventory of all materials and finished goods
  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels
  • Evaluate deliveries, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Monitor current warehouse systems, analyze effectiveness, and make changes to improve efficiency when necessary
  • Review orders to determine the type and quantity of items to be received.
  • Receive and unload raw materials from delivery trucks—check quantity, type of material, and packing list to match orders.
  • Ship finished goods with the proper order sheet and packing list
  • Load, unload, or move materials or finished goods to designated storage areas using a forklift, pallet jack, or other equipment
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift and related equipment in a productive, efficient, and safe manner
  • Sort and rack items according to material type and sizes, ensuring that they are properly labelled and tagged.
  • Check that the proper operating procedure is used in the movement of all product and materials
  • Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements.
  • Ensure that the storage yard is clean, organized, and well-maintained always.
  • Make sure that finished products and raw materials are all in their assigned stock areas
  • Lifting and packing products
  • Promote collaborative strategies encouraging positive work environment ensuring positive management techniques
