We are involved in projects ranging from complex aerospace tooling, mining, power generation, and infrastructure. Our ISO Certified manufacturing facility is in Richmond, B.C. Canada.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is responsible for assisting the Lead Estimator and the Sales department in putting together detailed estimates for our customers. The estimates compiled will focus on either steel fabrication or machining requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical Experience:

Must-Haves:

· Skilled in blueprint interpretation

· Understanding of GD&T symbols, Weld symbols and specifications

· Ability to communicate effectively in English

· Knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Related experience with steel and fabrication machinery

Assets:

· Experience with Steel Fabrication Estimating

· Knowledge of Steel/ Aluminum Fabrication

· Experience with Light & Heavy Machining

· Related Trade Certification

· Understanding of fabrication processes and N.A standards

Industry Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a job-shop environment with steel fabrication and machining

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate cost estimates

· Prepare material take off from customer supplied drawings, and source pricing on material required

· Prepare pricing for sub-contractors required

· Prepare labor take off using Labor Standards for each work centre

· Interact with production and quality-assurance personnel to clarify any machining concerns that could increase estimated costs

· Work in a mixture of both office and job shop environment
